In addition to fibers
such as hemp, silk, and wool, I like to incorporate natural materials
such as coral, shells, and minerals into my creations, letting
my imagination run wild but at the same time taking care to preserve
the distinctive character of each item that I use. Since each accessory
is handcrafted, each one is a unique mode of expression that adds
a new dimension to the wearerfs identity. I am also involved in
a collaborative project with Swedish-born designergTanja Maloh
in which I incorporate my tombodama into Tanjafs earthy macrame
creations. |
